MATA HARI… Die Sonne (en malais).
Ihres wahren Namens, Margaretha-Geertrudia ZELLE ( 1876-1917 ). Schwer zu sagen, ob sie wirklich eine Spionin war,… aber was sicher ist, ihre Schönheit war nicht so fatal wie diejenige von Greta Garbo! Jedoch was ihr zum Schicksal wurde, war ihre Schwäche für eine Uniform in den Jahren 1941-1918, … Sie heiratete einen Offizier, dann lebte sie von ihren Reizen und als Tänzerin in Paris, und verfiel der Gunst eines Säbelträgers der leider zu den Feinden gehörte, das war, was sie in einen unentwirrbaren Malstrom stürzte, um wie ein Opfer in einem Spionage- Roman zu enden…

Die arme Frau wurde im Fort von Vincennes 1917, für das Beispiel, erschossen, was sie vollständig berühmt gemacht hat. Manchmal muß man sterben, um bekannt zu werden!

De son vrai nom, Margaretha-Geertrudia ZELLE (1876-1917).
Difficile de savoir si elle fut vraiment une espionne… mais ce qui est sûr, sa beauté n’était pas si belle ni fatale que celle de la Greta Garbo ! Mais, ce qui lui fut fatal, c’était son faible pour un uniforme en 1941-1918… elle épousa un officier colonial, puis vivait de ses charmes et comme danseuse à Paris,… s’assurant les faveurs de quelques traineurs de sabre… qui, hélas, furent parmi les ennemis … ce qui la précipita dans un malstrom inextricable pour finir comme une victime dans un roman d’espionnage !

La pauvre femme fut fusillée pour l’exemple au Fort de Vincennes en 1917… ce qui l’a rendue complètement célèbre. Parfois il faut mourir pour devenir connu(e)!

Si Mata Hari fut apparemment un agent double, l’insignifiance des renseignements qu’elle a pu livrer semble aujourd’hui avérée. Dans son dossier, Mata Hari laisse deviner une demi-mondaine aux abois financièrement, d’une grande naïveté quant aux réalités de l’espionnage, piégée par un jeu subtil entre les services de contre-espionnage français et allemands et dépassée par l’enchainement des événements qui la conduiront au poteau d’exécution!

With her real name, Margaretha-Geertrudia ZELLE (1876-1817) Difficult to know if she was really a spy, but what is sure, her beauty was not so great nor fatal as that of Greta Garbo! But, what was fatal to her, it was her weakness for one uniform in 1941-1918… she married a colonial officer, then lived of her charms and as dancer in Paris, making sure the favours of some porters of sabre which, regrettably, were among the enemies what precipitated her it into an inextricable maelstrom to finish as a victim in a spy novel;

Mata Hari was the stage name of a Dutch exotic dancer and courtesan who was accused for being a German spy during World War I and, even though possibly innocent, eventually executed in France.
